This month it was revealed that Meryl Streep would grace the cover of American VOGUE, it has now been confirmed that she is VOGUE's oldest cover star in the magazine's history at 62 years old. She is unstoppable.

V Man 24: The Decades Issue

For their 24th Issue V Man has decided the celebrate the trends and designers that defined every decade from the 1930s up to this one!

I'm completely in love with this editorial, a wonderful idea for now and for reference. It clearly showcases the way fashion always comes back around and that some things are timeless. On another note, it terrifies me that G-Star is considered to define the 2000s... or anything at all for that matter.

Alexander McQueen A/W 11

Sarah Burton presented her latest collection for the Alexander McQueen brand on the Paris runway this week. Black, white, grey, bondage, romance, gothica, theatricality, decadence, belts, fur, leather, basically all my favourite things rolled into one collection. I need me a body harness.

Burton continues to not disappoint die hard McQueen fans, editors and fashion fanatics alike and the latest collection shows that although McQueen may no longer be with us, his talent and spirit continues to live on in the brand he established that catapulted him into the stratosphere of true fashion greats.

Christina Hendricks for Vivienne Westwood

All-round screen siren and star of hit TV show Mad Men Christina Hendricks has been revealed as the face (and not to mention the body) of Vivienne Westwood's latest range of jewellery.

Hendricks (who portrays Joan Holloway on the show) looks stunning, as usual, and also a healthy role model to have as a spokesperson, a change from the pin-thin, gap-toothed creatures I am endlessly bored of seeing. Her flame-red locks are a perfect match for Dame Viv and her latest campaign.

Womenswear as Menswear

Speaking of Vivienne Westwood, watching her Red Label show at London Fashion Weekend, I happened to notice three coats, meant for women, that I would definitely considering wearing. (The last one in particular - need!)

This has spawned a new obsession of mine, to broaden my purchasing horizons (not too sure if that's a good thing, perhaps my horizons are broad enough?) and find masculine womenswear that I could work into my wardrobe. The gender lines have been becoming so blurred over the past decade, and in a non-trannylicious way, I'm enjoying seeing what designers have come up with.

Along with the VW Red Label coats, the image of Lily Donaldson in these Alexander Wang trousers (above) has been engraved into my memory and they have subsequently become a must-have for me this year. Along with a Marios Schwab shirt with belted collar (below). There must be a menswear version of this somewhere!

Perhaps a phone call to Daddy is in order.

The Manifesto of Mother Monster

Lady Gaga's music video for her already anthemic single 'Born This Way' has been released and it's a 70s sci-fi rock musical of wonder! Presenting herself as a God of a new race of being, with protruding temples, cheekbones and shoulder blades Gaga looks svelte and lean in her black bikini.

Being created, reminiscent of the Queen with a hundred heads in the movie 'Return To Oz'.

Gaga's famous for the warping of gender barriers and this video is no exception. My favourite look of the video is the Thierry Mugler inspired 'skull' face with long pink hair and a suit with powerful, strong shoulder pads, naturally.

Her last look is an almost outright homage to Madonna. The light on her face, the gap in the teeth, with all the controversy 'Born This Way' for resembling Madonna's hit 'Express Yourself' it is clear that Gaga is still playing the fame game, and eager to get people talking!

This video, quite simply, needs to be a feature length sci-fi musical.
