For a few years now Annie Leibovitz has been photographing celebrities for Vanity Fair, re-creating and reinventing famous movie scenes and posters (from works by people such as Walt Disney andAlfred Hitchcock) and even did a series of fictional movie stills, based on film noir.
Always beautifully composed (and not to mention, edited) I always look forward Leibovitz's editorials and have yet to be disappointed. In a spontaneous celebration of her work, here are some of my all time favourites.

.... while the ever-elegant Judi Dench and Helen Mirren wait patiently in the getaway car.The Alfred Hitchcock collection in particular, I adored.

An approprately cast Scarlett Johansson as Grace Kelly and a brooding Javier Bardem as James Stewart in my personal favourite Hitchcock movie, 1954's Rear Window.
New goal in life - To emulate an iconic move in an editorial photographed by Annie Leibovitz.

I love Annie because everything she makes is so cinematic. She is a genius! Two of my favourite pictures ever are that one of Helen and Judi (almost fell over when I saw them on Vanity Fair) and Beckham as Snowwhite's Prince.
Cinematic is the perfect word!
I think the Julianne Moore as Ariel might be my favourite, it's been my desktop background for a while now and the Vertigo poster is also a particular favourite.
